Baobab External Turret

Discovered in 2001, the Baobab Block CI -40 field is located 65 kilometers from Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in water depths

ranging from 900 meters to 1300 meters. The field is operated by Canadian Natural Resources (CNR International)

and has combined estimated recoverable oil reserves of 150 million barrels. CNR International selected a ship-shaped

Floating, Storage, and Offloading System (FSO) that included a SOFEC designed External Turret Mooring System as

the preferred option for development.

After being awarded the contract E&I Construction, acquaint personnel supervised both the site mechanical outfitting

activities, demonstrating quality performance and excellence.
